Why This Leadership Program 

  • Top students who excel in annual national examinations are    usually left to their own devices on how to survive and succeed without being intentionally being prepared to handle success.
  • There are few systematic, strategic leadership programs to capture and nurture these young leaders
  • As a result, many “fall through the cracks”; fail to rise to their true leadership potential, with opportunities created due to being successful youth 
  • Africans lose opportunity to mentor the best and brightest African youth, who can in turn, return value by encouraging and leading their indigenous communities, families, friends and industries.

Negotiation in Leadership: Case Study Example

AIM: Deliver negotiation training as part of an ALADI Pan African Leadership Training to African youth and leaders at the Sleeping Warrior, Elementaita. This is to provide capacity for organizations and individuals to achieve personal and organisational effectiveness and goals through strategic, intentionally enhanced leadership skills development. The results we envision include, but are not limited to enhancing leadership and management effectiveness in public, private, civic, and international organizations throughout Africa.

Negotiation as a key Lifeskills in meeting needs for excellence in service and market-oriented, high-level specialized leadership and management training and development.

Expected Learning Outcomes include, but are not limited to:

1. Understand WHY negotiation success is crucial in personal, family, corporate & community environments

2. Critically evaluate theories of negotiation within the leadership matrix in the world today

3. Successfully apply negotiation principles in growing one’s personal leadership development plan

4. Understand & mitigate leadership challenges & styles; e.g. SWOT.
